His dominance extended beyond the main title, as he also claimed both the Best Gross and Longest Drive awards, solidifying his status as the tournament’s standout player.

The competition was fierce, with Sheldon Davis and Bridgelall Harry providing strong challenges. Davis finished in second place with a Gross 91, Handicap 24, and Net 67, while Harry rounded out the top three with a Gross 83, Handicap 14, and Net 69.

Adding to the day’s excitement, Patrick Prashad was recognized for his precision and style, earning both the Nearest to Pin and Best Dressed accolades.

LGC President Anasha Ally expressed gratitude to ANSA McAL for their continued support, emphasizing the tournament’s role in fostering community spirit and promoting the sport. “We are immensely grateful to ANSA McAL, especially Troy Cadogan, whose unwavering support continues to elevate our club,” Ally stated.

Troy Cadogan, Managing Director of ANSA McAL, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to developing golf in Guyana. “It is truly inspiring to see such a fantastic turnout, particularly with so many new faces embracing the game,” Cadogan remarked.

The tournament, which serves as a prelude to Guyana’s Mashramani celebrations, has quickly established itself as a cornerstone of the local golfing calendar. It not only showcases top talent but also provides an inclusive environment for golfers of all skill levels.

As the sun set on the picturesque Lusignan Golf Club, the ANSA McAL Pre-Mash Golf Tournament once again proved to be an event that successfully blends competition with camaraderie, attracting both seasoned professionals and enthusiastic newcomers to the sport.
