Opening the innings at the Port Mourant Community Centre Ground, Sip & Play Warriors unleashed a relentless assault, amassing an astonishing 209 runs for the loss of just three wickets in their allotted 10 overs. Ramsammy led the charge with a blistering 89 off just 24 balls, smashing nine sixes and three fours, while Hetmyer, elder brother of international cricketer Shimron Hetmyer, remained unbeaten with a sizzling 82 from 25 deliveries, including two fours and ten sixes.
The onslaught proved too much for The Organisation, who managed only 98 for 5 in their chase, handing Sip & Play a comprehensive 111-run victory. The emphatic win not only showcased the firepower of Ramsammy and Hetmyer but also underlined Sip & Play’s credentials as serious contenders for the zone title.
With the victory, Sip & Play Warriors booked their place in the Berbice final, awaiting the winner between Montra Jaguars and Name Brand Titans.
