A tragic incident occurred on the Essequibo Coast when Navindra Rambarran, a 25-year-old pump attendant from Evergreen, was found dead in a canal. The discovery was made early on Thursday morning, with Rambarran’s body floating in the water.
Rambarran had left his home on his motorcycle at around 15:00 hours on Wednesday. His wife, Sarah Camble, reported that she made several calls to his phone throughout the night, and he assured her he was on his way home. However, he never returned.
The next morning, at approximately 05:45 hours, Camble received news that Rambarran’s body had been found in the canal. His motorcycle was located nearby on the dam, with both mirrors broken off. His body was transported to the Charity Cottage Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, and is currently at the Suddie Hospital Mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.
