“Violence is Never a Solution”: President Ali Condemns Kashmir Terror Attack

    Published on

President Irfaan Ali has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, which claimed the lives of at least 28 civilians and left more than 20 others injured. In a statement reflecting global outrage, President Ali emphasized that “violence is never a solution,” calling for peace and unity in the face of such senseless tragedy.

The attack, which unfolded in the scenic Baisaran Valley—a popular destination for tourists—has been described as one of the deadliest in the region in recent years. Gunmen, reportedly affiliated with The Resistance Front, targeted a group of tourists, opening fire indiscriminately and causing chaos and devastation. Among the victims were Indian nationals, foreign tourists, and members of the security forces.

President Ali’s message echoed the sentiments of world leaders who have denounced the violence and expressed solidarity with the victims and their families. “Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost loved ones and with all those affected by this horrific act,” he said, reaffirming Guyana’s commitment to standing with the international community against terrorism.

The President’s remarks come as India intensifies its search for the perpetrators and reassures the public of its resolve to bring those responsible to justice. The incident has prompted increased security measures across the Kashmir Valley and has reignited calls for collective action against extremism.

President Ali’s condemnation underscores a universal truth: that violence only deepens divisions and suffering, and that lasting solutions can only be found through dialogue, cooperation, and respect for human life. As investigations continue and the region mourns, Guyana joins the global chorus demanding peace and the rejection of terror in all its forms.
