    Roshandin elected President of GMR&SC

    The leadership of the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) changed hands on Saturday night, following a hotly-contested electoral process during its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Everest Cricket Club (ECC).
    The challenger, Mohamad Shairaz Roshandin ousted incumbent President Mahendra Boodhoo from the presidential seat in an election that went in Roshandin’s favour, 123-61.

    Meanwhile, Roshandin’s new executive includes:
    Vice President – Alain Hopkinson
    Treasurer – Azaad Hassan
    Assistant Secretary/Treasurer – Ritesh Singh
    Secretary – Azim Jaffar
    Technical Advisor – Stefan Jeffrey
    Club Captain – Rameez Mohamed
    Committee members – Ashley Persaud, Shemroy Ramsingh, Elan Rahaman, and Krishna Ramseywack
