The Attorney General’s Chambers, alongside the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the Deeds and Commercial Registries Authority (DCRA), officially inaugurated DCRA services in Linden on Wednesday, significantly enhancing access for residents of Region Ten. Minister of Legal Affairs, Anil Nandlall, shared this development through social media, emphasizing that this marks the first time residents will have direct access to the essential services of the DCRA in their own region. This initiative aligns with President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali’s commitment to establish DCRA offices in all remote areas of Guyana.
A suitable office location has already been secured within Linden township, ensuring that the DCRA’s services are conveniently accessible for local residents. Many community members expressed their appreciation for this initiative and engaged in discussions with the Attorney General, committing to make the most of the available services.
During his brief address, the Attorney General highlighted the primary functions of the DCRA and outlined the variety of services that will be offered to the people of Region Ten. This development will eliminate the need for residents to travel to Georgetown, incurring significant costs and inconveniences to access these services.
“One of our government’s key goals is to extend all services available in urban centers to every region of the country, enhancing the lives of our citizens wherever they reside,†stated the Attorney General. Additionally, it was announced that job advertisements will soon be published to invite applications for positions in the new office.
