KFC Guyana has reaffirmed its commitment to sports inclusivity by providing robust support to the National Blind Cricket Team as they prepare for the 11th Regional Blind Cricket Tournament.

The team, which will represent Guyana in the prestigious event, is set to compete in a forty-overs round robin competition scheduled from May 21 to May 28, 2025. This regional tournament brings together the best blind cricket teams from across the Caribbean, offering a platform for visually impaired athletes to showcase their talent and determination.

Through its Chief Executive Officer, Paul Subryan, KFC Guyana emphasized the company’s dedication to empowering differently-abled athletes and promoting equal opportunities in sports. Subryan highlighted the importance of corporate support in helping the team finalize their preparations and boost morale ahead of the high-stakes competition.

The sponsorship from KFC Guyana will assist with essential logistics, training, and equipment, ensuring the team is well-equipped to compete at the highest level. The gesture has been warmly received by the players and coaching staff, who expressed gratitude for the continued partnership.

The National Blind Cricket Team’s participation in the regional tournament not only underscores Guyana’s commitment to inclusivity in sports but also serves as an inspiration to the wider community.
