Home Affairs Minister Robeson Benn praised the deployment as a vital tool in rebuilding public trust and professionalising the police force. He noted that technology brings “certitude in delivering service†and helps to build the confidence citizens expect from law enforcement.

The rollout of these cameras is part of a broader suite of security reforms and digital modernisation efforts, including roadside surveillance, mobile command units, and expanded training programmes to align police practices with international standards. The government’s strategy aims to enhance transparency, accountability, and service efficiency throughout the GPF.
