    Woman arrested for allegedly killing partner

    Police are investigating an alleged murder which occurred on Wednesday December 3, 2025 about 17:00hrs at Recht Door Zee, West Bank Demerara that claimed the life of 42-year-old Peter Michael Rawlins, a Porter of Tucville, Georgetown.

    Investigations revealed that the deceased and the suspect, a 27-year-old female Special Constable who resides at the said address and who shared a relationship with him, were at the location when the deceased sustained a stab wound to his upper right leg during an alleged argument.

    The injured man was transported to the West Demerara Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a doctor on duty while receiving treatment. The suspect was arrested and remains in custody assisting with the investigation.

    The body of the deceased is presently at Ezekiel Funeral Home awaiting a post-mortem examination.

    Investigations are continuing.
