    Police Launch Manhunt After Fatal Shooting of Bagotstown Resident

    Police have launched a manhunt for Hosea Salmon, the prime suspect in the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Mark Anthony Benjamin, which occurred Tuesday evening on Norton Street, Bagotstown, East Bank Demerara.

    According to preliminary investigations, Benjamin and Salmon, who were known to each other, became embroiled in an altercation that quickly escalated. During the confrontation, Salmon allegedly shot Benjamin in the head before fleeing the scene. Emergency services arrived shortly after, but Benjamin was pronounced dead. His body has since been taken to the Memorial Gardens Mortuary, where a post-mortem examination is pending.

    The Guyana Police Force has intensified efforts to locate Salmon and is urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing. The community remains on edge as authorities work to bring the suspect to justice and provide answers to the grieving family.
