Antigua Police Launch Investigation Into Mysterious Death of Joyleen Abraham

    Published on

The Antigua and Barbuda police have launched a comprehensive investigation into the suspicious death of 19-year-old Guyanese national Joyleen Abraham, whose body was discovered with multiple injuries along a by-road near New Winthorpes on Wednesday evening.

Authorities responded to the scene shortly after 5 p.m. on May 7, where they found Abraham’s motionless body lying on the southern side of the roadway. She was later pronounced dead by a medical doctor at approximately 6:30 p.m. The incident reportedly occurred after Abraham allegedly jumped from a moving vehicle driven by 24-year-old Victor Ince of Lightfoot West.

Ince, identified as Abraham’s boyfriend, is currently in police custody assisting with the ongoing investigation. The vehicle involved in the incident has been seized and transported to Police Headquarters for forensic examination as detectives work to piece together the circumstances leading up to Abraham’s tragic death.

The case has raised numerous questions within the community and among those following the story, with many expressing skepticism about the events as described. Some have questioned why the driver did not stop the vehicle when Abraham allegedly attempted to exit, and whether other factors might have contributed to her fatal injuries. Comparisons have been drawn to other incidents in which individuals survived similar falls, prompting speculation about the true nature of the tragedy.

Abraham, who reportedly arrived in Antigua just days before the incident, was said to be visiting Ince. The police have appealed to the public for any witnesses or individuals with information to come forward, emphasizing the need for clarity and transparency as the investigation unfolds.

As the probe continues, the community remains on edge, seeking answers to the many unresolved questions surrounding the untimely death of Joyleen Abraham.
