    Intensive Training and High Hopes

The team has been training rigorously under the guidance of national coach Gokarn Ramdhani at the National Gymnasium and Cliff Anderson Sports Hall. Their regimen includes technical drills, match simulations, fitness conditioning, and strategic sessions to sharpen their competitive edge.

Priyanna Ramdhani, a seasoned junior international and current national champion, leads the squad with her wealth of experience and recent strong performances in regional tournaments. Her brother, Narayan Ramdhani, has also been in top form, while Tyrese Jeffery and Akili Haynes have shown significant improvement and promise during recent national trials.

    Representing Guyana with Pride

The Junior Pan Am Games will see the Guyanese shuttlers competing against the best young players from across the Americas. The tournament is expected to provide invaluable exposure and experience, helping to further develop the athletes’ skills and confidence on the international stage.

Coach Ramdhani expressed optimism about the team’s prospects, noting their dedication and the progress made in training. He emphasized that the focus is not only on winning medals but also on learning, building camaraderie, and representing Guyana with pride and sportsmanship.

    Support and Encouragement

The Guyana Badminton Association has called on the public and the business community to support the team as they embark on this important journey. The athletes are eager to make their country proud and inspire the next generation of badminton players back home.

As the countdown to the Junior Pan Am Games continues, excitement is building among fans, with high hopes that Guyana’s young badminton stars will shine on the continental stage.
