    Ashoka Buildcon Ltd, a Fortune 500 company based in India and a prominent infrastructure developer in Guyana, has made a generous donation of cricket kits to the Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC). This initiative aims to foster sportsmanship and promote the growth of cricket at the grassroots level in the region.

    The donation ceremony took place on the iconic Bourda sward, where key officials from Ashoka Buildcon Ltd were present, including Project Manager Rama Chandar Rao Thatiparthy, Country Head Chetan Gadiya, HR Manager Syed Kamaludeen, Senior Engineer Kishan Bharti, and Senior HR Officer Ritish Raj. The GCC was represented by President Jonathan Yearwood, Club Coach Peter Persaud, and members of the club’s cricket team.

    In addition to the kit presentation, the event featured a constructive meeting between Ashoka Buildcon representatives and GCC officials. Discussions focused on strategies for enhancing sports development, particularly in cricket, with both parties expressing a mutual commitment to nurturing local talent and creating a conducive environment for sports to flourish.

    The donation is part of Ashoka Buildcon’s ongoing efforts to invest in community welfare and advance sports initiatives.
