Guyana’s presence in international archery has reached new heights as its Continental Judges continue to represent the country with distinction at major events across the Americas and beyond in 2025.
Archery Guyana’s World Archery Americas (WAA) certified Continental Judges—Robert Singh, Nicholas Hing, and Mohamed Khan—have been actively officiating at prestigious tournaments, proudly flying the Golden Arrowhead and showcasing Guyanese expertise on the global stage.
Robert Singh recently served as an official at the South American Open Championships in Medellín, Colombia, from May 20–25, 2025. His role at this relocated championship further underscored Guyana’s growing influence in regional archery governance. Meanwhile, Nicholas Hing is currently in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where he is judging at the Central American and Caribbean Games Qualifier, earning commendation for his dedication and professionalism.
Mohamed Khan, another key figure in Guyana’s archery officiating fraternity, has been selected as an alternate judge for the Para World Ranking Event in Chicago, USA, scheduled for August 27–31, 2025. He is also set to join the judging panel for the Caribbean Development Championships in Trinidad & Tobago in October, affirming his rising profile within the Americas region.
The achievements of these judges are the result of rigorous training and certification. Hing and Singh were welcomed into the Continental Judges fraternity after completing the WAA Continental Judges Seminar in Tobago, while Khan was certified in 2022 in Nova Scotia, Canada. Their expertise is recognized by World Archery Americas, which values their technical proficiency, neutrality, and adherence to international standards across diverse formats, from para archery to elite championships.
Guyana’s Continental Judges have not only elevated the country’s reputation in archery officiating but have also contributed to the steady growth and development of the sport at home. Their international assignments provide valuable exposure and experience, inspiring the next generation of Guyanese archers and officials.
As Guyana continues to make its mark in the world of archery, the Golden Arrowhead flies ever higher, symbolizing national pride and the pursuit of excellence on the international stage.
