Kitty Vendor Charged with Abusive Language, Threatening Behaviour

    Published on

A vendor from Kitty, George Chase, appeared before the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court yesterday to answer charges of abusive language and threatening behaviour stemming from an incident earlier this year.

According to the charges, Chase allegedly directed threatening behaviour and used abusive language towards Leon Williams on January 31, 2025, at Longden Street, Georgetown. During his court appearance, Chase pleaded not guilty to both allegations.

The case has been adjourned as the court considers the evidence and statements from both parties. The incident has drawn attention to the ongoing issue of public altercations and the use of threatening language in commercial districts, highlighting the need for civility and respect in public interactions.

Chase remains out on bail as the legal process continues. The matter is scheduled for further hearing in the coming weeks.
