    Slingerz FC and Den Amstel FC continue to dominate the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Elite League standings after securing crucial victories in the latest round of matches. Both teams have solidified their positions at the top of the table, showcasing consistent performances as the competition heats up.

    Slingerz FC maintained their perfect record with a narrow 1-0 win over Guyana Police Force FC on April 6. The match, held at the National Training Centre, saw Slingerz’s defense hold firm while their attack capitalized on a decisive opportunity to secure three points. The victory keeps Slingerz at the summit of the standings with nine points from three matches, boasting an impressive goal difference of +21.

    Meanwhile, Den Amstel FC continued their strong start to the season with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Guyana Defence Force FC. The win places them second on the table with seven points from three matches, just two points behind Slingerz. Their balanced approach in both attack and defense has made them one of the most formidable teams this season.

    Western Tigers FC also remain in contention, tied with Den Amstel on seven points but trailing on goal difference. Their 1-0 victory over Santos FC further cements their position among the league’s top contenders.
