Resuming their second innings at 137-1, the Eagles quickly erased the Hurricanes’ slim first-innings lead of five runs and went on to dominate proceedings. Anderson, continuing his stellar form this season, converted his unbeaten 77 from the first innings into his third century of the tournament. He scored 101 off 246 balls, laced with 10 boundaries, showcasing his ability to anchor the innings under pressure.
At the other end, Captain Tevin Imlach played a patient yet impactful knock, registering his third century of the season. His unbeaten 103 off 215 balls included just three boundaries—two sixes and a four—as he focused on strike rotation and building partnerships. Together, Anderson and Imlach added a crucial 114 runs for the third wicket, frustrating the Hurricanes’ bowlers under the scorching Warner Park sun.
Earlier in the day, Matthew Nandu contributed a solid 66 before being run out, adding to a vital partnership with Anderson. By stumps on Day 3, the Harpy Eagles had amassed an impressive total of 381-4, establishing a commanding lead of 239 runs heading into the final day.
With Kevin Sinclair unbeaten on 31 alongside Imlach at close of play, Guyana is poised to push for an outright victory on Day 4. An outright win would be crucial for maintaining their top position in the standings ahead of next week’s decisive encounter against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force.
