According to police reports, Lucinda Stephen and her reputed husband, Regan Ambrose, were consuming alcohol at their residence on the evening of March 12, 2025. The drinking session continued into the early hours of the morning, culminating in an argument between the couple around 1:00 AM. The altercation escalated into a physical scuffle, prompting Ambrose to leave the home and seek refuge at the residence of his reputed wife’s sister, Joyce Stephen.

    Discovery of the Crime

    Joyce Stephen provided Ambrose with a hammock to sleep in and later visited her sister’s home around 3:00 AM. Upon arrival, she witnessed Lucinda Stephen hitting her four-year-old daughter, Rianna Ambrose, multiple times on the head with a piece of wood. The child suffered severe head injuries as a result of the assault.

    Medical Response and Outcome

    Rianna Ambrose was rushed to the Aishalton District Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival. The piece of wood allegedly used in the attack was recovered at the scene by police.
