    Nationwide Expansion: 100+ New ATMs Set to Launch Across Guyana

    New ATMs and Financial Innovations in Guyana

    Be! Payments, a financial technology company established in Guyana in June 2024, is set to enhance cash accessibility for Visa, MasterCard, and Amex cardholders with the rollout of over 100 new automated teller machines (ATMs) across the country. These ATMs will be strategically placed in hightraffic areas, including supermarkets, malls, gas stations, hospitals, and police stations.

     Key Features of the New ATMs

     Accessibility: The ATMs will support international card networks, including Amex, Visa, MasterCard, PIX, and UPI. Be! Payments is committed to ensuring that ATM transaction fees remain affordable and in line with current market rates.

     Nationwide Coverage: Plans are in place to install ATMs in every administrative region of Guyana. This initiative aims to minimize the distance residents must travel to access cash.

     Mobile ATM Services: Be! Payments is also launching mobile ATM services via specialized trucks. This service will cater to communities like Black Bush Polder and Yakasari, facilitating access for individuals in areas with limited financial services.

     Financial Inclusion Focus

    Sadiya Yahya, Be! Payments’ Public Relations Officer, emphasized the company’s commitment to financial inclusion, stating, “It’s all about financial inclusion. And yes, everyone would be adequately informed.†The mobile ATMs will operate on a schedule to ensure regular access to cash for underserved communities.

     Innovative AI Driven Solutions

    In addition to the new ATMs, Be! Payments is leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to improve customer onboarding and transaction monitoring. Their AI automated system allows users to send messages via WhatsApp for streamlined onboarding, reducing the need for inperson visits.

     Fraud Prevention: The AI system plays a crucial role in monitoring fraudulent transactions, enhancing security for users.

     UserFriendly Mobile App: Be! Payments is also developing a mobile app that enables users to track their spending and income effortlessly. The app automatically records transactions, helping users manage their finances without manual tracking.

     Upcoming AI Expo

    To further educate the public on AI’s potential, Be! AiFA Labs will host an AI Expo from February 25th to 28th, aimed at showcasing AIdriven solutions and their benefits for Guyanese citizens.
