The Guyana Police Force is investigating the discovery of suspected cannabis in cargo at an Airways located at Eugene F. Correia International Airport, Ogle.
About 11:25hrs today, Wednesday December 3, 2025, searches were conducted on cargo at the Airways, during which thirteen (13) small zip-lock bags containing a quantity of leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be cannabis were found concealed in four (4) White Oats packets placed in a bag which was destined for Chi Chi Village, Region #7.
The suspected cannabis was taken to the GPF Narcotics Branch, where it was weighed, amounted to sixty (60) grams and subsequently lodged.
No arrests have been made. Investigations are ongoing.
