    Guns, ammo & over $7M in cash seized during police operation in Linden; businessman arrested

    The Guyana Police Force is investigating the discovery of suspected firearms, ammunition and cash following an operation conducted today Wednesday December 3, 2025, at Redwood Crescent, Mackenzie, Linden, which resulted in the arrest of a 30-year-old Businessman of the said address.

    During the operation, ranks conducted a search at a house occupied by the 30-year-old. While searching a bedroom in the upper flat, ranks found a suspected Glock 19 9mm pistol, a suspected Polymer80 9mm pistol, six magazines and a total of fifty-six (56) 9mm rounds concealed beneath the flooring of the bedroom.

    Additional searches uncovered $6,915,000 GYD and $7,445 USD in a wardrobe in the said bedroom.

    The 30-year-old is presently in custody and the suspected firearms, ammunition and cash were lodged pending investigation.

    Investigations are ongoing.
